Bachelor of Science in Nursing
WCU offers several Bachelor of Science in Nursing program tracks, each designed to fit your specific needs. Each track includes classroom lectures and hands-on training in a clinical setting. In addition to learning how to provide the best care for your patients, you’ll also study leadership and management techniques, critical thinking, and moral, ethical, and legal principles in health care.
Whether you are just beginning your nursing education, have been working as a Registered Nurse for years, or are an LVN ready to take your education to the next level, there is a BSN program at West Coast University that can fit your needs.
The BSN program is open to students who have a high school diploma or GED. The RN to BSN program is open to students who have an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university and proof of an unobstructed professional license as a Registered Nurse in the United States. The LVN to BSN program is open to graduates of an approved LVN program and who hold a current unobstructed LVN license. Applicants for all programs must attain passing scores on the WCU entrance exams.
Master of Science in Nursing
The Master of Science in Nursing program is designed to help nurses advance their education and their careers. The program can give you the training you need to become a Certified Nurse Educator.
Our MSN program includes classes like Policy Organization and Financing of Health care, Biostatistics, Research Utilization, Advanced Practice Physiology and Pathophysiology, and more. You’ll also participate in an advanced clinical rotation where you’ll have hands-on training.
At WCU, the MSN program is easy to fit into your already busy schedule. You’ll attend classes on campus during the first and last week of each semester, and complete your other coursework online. The program can be completed in as little as three semesters, helping you reach your educational goals.
Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene
WCU’s Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene program provides you with a blend of classroom and hands-on training that will prepare you for work as a Dental Hygienist. At WCU, once you begin your education and successfully complete your courses, your graduation date is set.
You can receive training in WCU’s simulation lab, with workstations that are equipped with artificial patients. Once you’ve completed your training there, you’ll move on to care for patients in WCU’s on site dental hygiene clinic.
The training you receive at WCU can prepare you for work in general dental offices and specialty practices, including periodontics or pediatric dentistry. You’ll work side by side with dentists as you provide dental care for your patients.
RN to BSN
West Coast University designed its RN to BSN program specifically to meet the needs of the working RN at our three convenient Southern California locations and our newest location in Dallas. Each class in this program is taught in a 10-week span, allowing the student to focus on fewer subjects at a time and gain a deeper understanding of the material. At the Los Angeles campus, you only need to attend classes onsite the first and last weekend of each term, with the balance of the coursework completed online.
Applicants for the RN to BSN program must have graduated with an Associate degree in Nursing and hold a current license as an RN in the U.S.
